My husband read Cujo and said he could never look at a dog again without thinking that his throat was about to be ripped out. I haven't picked up his book on writing but now I feel compelled to. I'd like to write a blog on the difference between "writing" and "storytelling" but it might be beyond me. I think there IS a difference, but it's difficult to articulate.Claire M. But this is a great review; it's a shame how rarely those books come along that just grip you and won't let go. They make you realise how rare it is not to have to suspend your doubts about a book while you read, or turn a blind eye to some features of the text - I always get this exhilarated feeling of 'I honestly love this! I don't have to just pretend!'. :)Merihttp://meripentik.comnoreply@blogger.com
